Purpose:

To consider a proposed change to an officer director appointment

Decision:

That the current senior officer appointment as Director to Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd for South Holland District Council (Richard Hodgson, Assistant Director – Strategic Projects) be replaced by Jason King, Assistant Director – Housing, from 1 February 2024

 

If this is agreed, it will then enable the requisite notice in writing be given to the Company for Richard Hodgson to resign from the Company Director post and for Jason King to be formally appointed as a new Director.

 

Reasons for the decision:

To refresh the Board’s membership.

 

Richard Hodgson has been a PSPS Board Director since November 2020 and one of two board members for South Holland District Council. He was brought in during the covid pandemic chosen specifically to help the board with the proposed move to new accommodation at East Lindsey and with accommodation considerations as part of new ways of working following the outbreak of the pandemic.

 

Given PSPS has now relocated to new accommodation at the Horncastle Hub and new ways of working have been embedded it is an opportune time to review and refresh the Director appointment.

 

Alternative options considered:

Do nothing – the current officer director appointment would remain in place – not recommended.

 

Appoint a different officer director – not recommended.
