Purpose:

To apply to the Centre for Ageing Better for South Holland to join the UK Network of Age-Friendly Communities.

Decision:

South Holland District Council applies to become a member of the UK network of Age-Friendly Communities.

Reasons for the decision:

Supports the Lincolnshire Health & Wellbeing Board’s strategic ambitions to co-ordinate a countywide response to the opportunities and challenges of ageing.

Becoming part of the UK network will demonstrate South Holland’s support to make the community a better place to age in.

Supports local delivery of Lincolnshire District Council’s Health & Wellbeing Strategy adopted by the Council in April 2023 under the ‘working with communities’ priority; incorporated in the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Healthy Living Action Plan.
