Purpose:

Permission to grant an easement for the connection of services adjacent to 78 Main road, Quadring, PE11 2XE

Decision:

 

  1. That approval is given to grant the easement for a sum of £6,500 for the terms agreed, legal costs of £250 will also be paid by the client

 

 

  1. That delegated authority is given to Housing Projects Surveyor, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder, to deal with all matters arising from the negotiation and conclusion of the easement

 

Reasons for the decision:

The Easement will allow the Grantee to connect to mains sewerage, located in the garden of the council property at 78 Main Road, Quadring. The granting of an easement will generate a one off income of £6,500 and the deed will contain permission for the connection of one new build dwelling only.

 

Alternative options considered:

Do Nothing – In doing nothing this would prevent the client from carrying out proposed works as this is the only viable connection point and recommended by Anglian Water – This option is not recommended
