To award a contract for an electrical materials provider.

That the Council awards a contract to Edmundson Electrical trading as EPH in Spalding for the provision of Electrical Materials at an estimated annual contract value of up to £98,000 per year for an initial period of three years with the option to extend for a further two years (3+1+1).

Reasons for the decision:

When assessed against the TPPL evaluation method the bid from Edmundson Electrical scored the highest and therefore in accordance with Procurement framework should be awarded the contract.

The award of this contract will therefore allow us to effectively manage the spend on electrical materials and realise the benefits detailed below in section 4.

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - Award the contract to Edmundson Electrical as laid out in the recommendations below in section 3.

Option 2 – Do nothing - this is not considered a viable option; as detailed above due the levels of spend a contract should be in place to enable us to properly manage the spend and demonstrate good value for money as well as continual access to the materials we need.
