To extend the current position which has placed a freeze on market fees until a decision is made by Cabinet on the new fee structure
That the current free rent period for market stallholders of South Holland District Markets continue until such time as a decision is made by Cabinet to introduce a new fee structure.
The extension of the free period will provide support to our traders who, like most businesses, have seen a turbulent year as a result of the pandemic and its impact to shopping habits and footfall. Our markets provide residents and visitors to the markets with fresh and local produce and SHDC are keen to support the growth of our markets as we come out of lockdown. The extension provides us with further time to engage and consult with stallholders as well as other stakeholders and the members.
Do nothing and fees will commence again from 1st April 2021. This is not the recommended option of this report.
