That under Section 113 of the Local Government
Act 1972, South Holland District Council, through its Head of Paid
Service agree to temporarily accept additional support from Boston
Borough Council through 2 members of Planning (BBC) to enable
operational efficiency at SHDC within the Planning team.
To provide additional capacity to Planning
Services at SHDC during a period of current workload pressure, and
to support continuation of effective decision making during a
period of staff change. This would be a temporary measure in
general accordance with the Partnership terms.
Additional capacity could have been brought in
from external sources, but this would have been more expensive, and
the basis of sharing has already been established by the
Partnership terms.
