For South Holland DC to share 2 x Communications Apprentices contracted by Boston Borough Council under Section 113 of the Local Government Act. The two officers will be part of the formally shared communications team in place of a vacant Communications Officer role.

Reasons for the decision:

To enable the Officers to formally Act for the Council they must be shared under Section 113 of the Local Government Act.

Alternative options considered:

The alternative would be not to share the Apprentices, however, this is discounted as a Partnership Communications Team is in place.
