Neighbourhoods Services Project Coordinator S113 Post

Decision Maker: Assistant Director - Neighbourhoods

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Decision:

To contribute £14,500 from establishment to a temporary S113 Neighbourhood Services Project Coordinator post for the Waste and Neighbourhoods service, to support the development of service delivery projects across the SELCP.

Reasons for the decision:

There are a number of projects in the street scene and waste areas in each council of the SELCP which require development.
These projects cannot be developed within the existing resource at SHDC, and this shared post will provide some additional resource, using skills already available within the SELCP.
This will be a temporary resource for up to 12 months, and priority areas initially are:
•Street scene software alignment (ADP).
•Further development of Pride in East Lindsey initiative
•Funding bids for projects e.g. Boston Town Centre Strategy
•Green waste expansion in SHDC.

Alternative options considered:

Do nothing was considered but would mean that the projects of the annual delivery plan could not be delivered within current resources.
