Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting of the Priory Road Community Hub Sub-Committee held on 19 March 2018.

The minutes were agreed as a correct record

Where a Councillor has a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest, the Councillor must declare the interest to the meeting and leave the room without participating in any discussion or making a statement on the item, except where a councillor is permitted to remain as a result of a grant of dispensation.

Any other Items that the Chairman Decides are Important

Minutes:

Members asked officers for an update to the situation around securing the Staircase in the atrium. Members stated that they asked because the matter was gaining some significant interest within their group and the security risk posed by leaving the upstairs vulnerable was becoming more and more urgent to resolve. Therefore they asked for a general solution for the issue to be found and implemented. Officers stated that they had approached contractors and that they had come back to them with a rough figure of £50,000.00. Councillors asked that efforts be made to chase contractors for a solution and that a quick, temporary solution be made to secure the 1st floor whilst a more permanent solution be adopted, preferably with a lower budget required.

 

Officers asked if Councillors minded an external gate that was physically operated with a card-reader barrier being installed in addition. They responded that this was a suitable solution.

Minutes:

Members stated that the committee would continue and the scheduled meetings would go ahead as a means of monitoring the proposed work to the Council Offices.

Exclusion of the Press and Public

To consider resolving that, under Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 3 of part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

6.

Update on Co-Location at Priory Road and Associated Works

To receive a presentation, which will update the Sub-Committee on the following (Shared Executive Manager – Delivery);

 

1)    DWP Co-Location project including lease terms and budget vs outturn cost;

 

2)    Co-Location opportunities and discussions with potential occupiers; and

 

3)    Summary of costed options and recommended programme for access and environment related improvement works and progress report.

Members received a presentation from officers regarding the Co-Location at Priory Road and associated works.
