Reason Key: Generating income above £75,000 threshold in respect of revenue/£180,000 in respect of capital;

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Notice of proposed decision first published: 23/05/2024

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
•Due to the urgent need to support vulnerable households with immediate and living costs an urgent decision needs to be taken to deliver the local scheme from June 2024
•Household Support Funding allocations must be utilised by 30 September 2024 and cannot be held over for future use. Local Authorities can draw down grant retrospectively based on ‘committed spend’ only. For the purpose of this scheme committed spend relates to grant funding that has been spent and delivered to vulnerable households.
•If the Lincolnshire scheme does not start delivering essential support to vulnerable households in Jun 2024, there is a risk that Lincolnshire’s allocation will not be used within the available time frame.
This would risk not drawing down local allocation of available Government welfare funding to support vulnerable households and be reputational risk to the authorities.
