To increase community safety and public reassurance by co-ordinating partner plans for reducing crime and disorder and the fear of crime.  Partners to monitor compliance with Section 17 of the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act to ensure the partners are taking into account the crime and disorder implications of their own plans and functions.  The Partnership is to be a key delivery agent for the Safer Stronger Communities component of the Local Area Agreement.
