The Weston Parish Council held
its first meeting in 1894 and meets once a month to discuss Parish
affairs. Meetings are always held on the first Monday of the month
at 7.30 pm. There is always a 15 minute public forum at the
beginning of the meeting giving residents an opportunity to put
forward their views. The Parish Council is made up of 10
Councillors, five for each Ward.
We have a thriving and flourishing community with many clubs and
organisations for all ages playing an important role in making this
an attractive and popular village in which to live. Each Ward has
its own Church, School, Village Hall, Public House, Shop and Post
Office.
Our Parish consists of 2 wards, Weston and Weston Hills. The Parish
is situated approx. 3.5 miles NE of Spalding, this long thin Parish
covers just over 10.5 miles from north to south boundaries. The
River Welland forms the northern boundary at Wragg Marsh and the
southern boundary adjoins to Queens Bank, Crowland. The Parish is
bordered by the villages Cowbit, Moulton, Surfleet, Crowland and
Pinchbeck.
Weston Ward has the benefit of 6 acres of land which has been
developed into a playing field and community area. Weston Hills
Ward is in the process of leasing the old primary school's playing
field for use by the community.
